Hyperspectral analyzer
The hyperspectral analyzer from RMA-Techniek can determine the dry matter content and its distribution in a tuber. To do this, the potato must be sliced by the machine.
This can be done using an automated slicer placed in front of the analyzer. However, it is also possible to place the slices on the conveyor belt manually.
This conveyor belt moves under a hyperspectral camera. The camera captures light reflections across wavelengths that are invisible to the human eye. This data is processed in special software, which ultimately determines the dry matter distribution within the tuber. These results are then displayed on the screen and stored in a database.
The development of this machine was made possible in part by the Province of Zeeland through a subsidy called: Zeeland in Stroomversnelling. RMA-Techniek is open to further exploring and developing this technology together with customers!
