Buffer Bin
The ensis clams are supplied in the buffer bin by means of a tub tilter. Most of the water is already collected in front of the buffer bin and transported to our own treatment system. The remaining water keeps the ensis clams alive and cool in the buffer bin.
The buffer bin is equipped with a conveyor belt that collects the ensis clams and transports them to a cleaning conveyor belt and subsequently to a distribution belt.
The buffer bin is also equipped with nozzles to transport the ensis clams as clean as possible. The water used comes from its own water treatment plant and is pumped back to this treatment after use.
