Octabin and container tilter
RMA-Techniek was commissioned to develop a tipping machine for tilting octabins and containers. Together with the customer, we reviewed all the specifications and requirements that the machine needed to meet.
This machine consists of:
- Roller conveyor 1
- Tipping unit
- Lift
- Roller conveyor 2
- CIP cover
Machine Operation
Once the forklift operator has placed the octabin or container onto the upper roller conveyor, it is automatically transported to the tipping unit.
When the octabin or container arrives at the tipping unit, the section of the roller conveyor carrying the octabin or container moves towards the hopper. The octabin or container is then securely clamped and tilted, allowing its contents to be discharged into the hopper.
After the octabin or container has been tilted, it continues along the roller conveyor and then enters the lift. The lift lowers the octabin or container and subsequently transports it to the second roller conveyor. The octabin or container is transported along the roller conveyor to the end, where the forklift operator can collect the empty octabin or container.
CIP Cover
A CIP cover is also installed at the hopper. This is a cleaning system used to rinse and clean the hopper when changing the product being processed through it.
