Seed Potato Taring Line
This grading line is specially designed for seed potatoes. Together with the customer, a specific line is put together to achieve the best possible results. The options for the potato grading line are shown below.
The complete grading line consists of the following machines:
- Gross weighing platform + barcode scanner
- Washer
- Net weighing hopper
- 3D camera and underwater weighing system combined
- Inspection table + weighing platform for external defects
- Potato halving cutter
- Inspection table + weighing platform for internal defects
Process description
First, the barcode of the samples is scanned, and the gross weight is measured on the gross weighing platform. The seed potatoes are then washed. After washing, the seed potatoes are transported by conveyor belt and weighed in the net weighing hopper.
Next, the samples are transported by conveyor belt to the compact underwater weighing system and 3D camera. Here, the underwater weight (OWG), length, and width of the potatoes are measured.
The seed potato sample then arrives at the external inspection table. Here, various defects are entered manually on the screen.
To check for internal defects, the seed potatoes are cut in half using a potato halving cutter. These defects can then be entered manually on the screen at the second inspection table.
